also called The Great Revolt (Hebrew: המרד הגדול ha-Mered Ha-Gadol), it was the first of three major rebellions by the Jews of Judea, Province (Iudaea) against the Roman Empire.
After the find of a scabbard locket plate, part of the ancient collection Gutmann. The chape of this sword is reconstructed after a piece found in Gamala, Syria, which had been completely destroyed in the jewish war in 67 AD.

The blade measures 54 cm, 4 cm more than the normal length of a glaives blades, recording to the swords determination of Christian Miks, this length should belong to a so called Spatha.
